Don and Kathy Hess have shared more than forty years of marriage, family, and ministry together. Having met in high school and married four years later, they have served together in both business and ministry. They are the parents of five children and enjoy spending time with their fourteen grandchildren.

Don serves in a variety of business and ministry leadership roles and has traveled to more than thirty countries, often leading teams to visit ministry partners and mission sites. He enjoys taking care of the farm, being an avid sports fan, reading biographies, writing when inspiration strikes, and planning mission trips.

Kathy enjoys reading, puzzles, walking, biking, and meaningful one-on-one conversations. She has a special heart for encouraging strong marriages and healthy families.

Together, Don and Kathy have experienced both great joy and deep loss, including the homegoing of their daughter Molly in 2018. Don later shared her story in his book, Unrequested Blessing: The Molly Hess Story, as a testimony to God's faithfulness and hope.

Their desire is that every person who comes to LifeGate experiences the love of Christ, authentic community, and the hope found in walking with Him.
